It’s almost that time again! The largest community-wide charitable giving event in the world, North Texas Giving Day (NTGD), is scheduled this year for September 14th. Created in 2009 by Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), NTGD is an annual 18-hour online giving blitz designed to help build awareness and support for charities of all varieties in the North Texas region. In 2016, NTGD raised $37 million through more than 142,000 gifts that benefitted 2,518 nonprofits.
Networking Results will have the honor of working again this year in support of CFT and NTGD as the Official IT Provider of North Texas Giving Day. Since the event is primarily online, Networking Results’ staff will be providing a wide range of services to make sure givers are able to connect with NTGD staff to make their donations.
“We’ll be doing things like, helping to set up and issue laptops and iPad’s to volunteers, managing internet access and network connectivity, and insuring phone lines and recordings are functional,” said Jonathan Bare, the event coordinator for Networking Results. “Since we provide the ongoing managed IT services for CFT on a day-to-day basis, it’s a natural extension for us to ramp up our efforts in support of their involvement with NTGD. We also work with many other local nonprofits that will benefit from the donations made to NTGD, so we’re thoroughly committed to making sure the day is a success for everyone that’s participating,” Bare said.
Be sure to visit the NTGD website at https://northtexasgivingday.org/ to find a charity you can support. You can search by name to see if your favorite charitable organization is participating, or search to find a worthy organization by either Category (i.e., Youth & Children, Domestic Violence, Animals, etc) or by County. However you find your chosen charity, take time on September 14th to support North Texas Giving Day, and the thousands worthy organizations that benefit from your gifts.
